Eagles Remain in First Place in Region XIV North After Splitting Series with Bossier Parish
The Northeast Texas Community College Eagles stayed atop the Region XIV North standings with a series split against Bossier Parish Community College this past weekend. Now at 10-5 in conference play and 17-12 overall, NTCC continues to lead the division heading into the final stretch of the regular season.
The Eagles dropped the road opener 7-3 on March 18 before falling in the first game of Saturday's home doubleheader. They responded in impressive fashion with an 11-1 victory in the nightcap.
Game 1: Eagles Fall 7-3 (March 18 at Bossier Parish)
Northeast Texas was held in check early, recording just six hits. The Eagles showed late fight with two runs in the seventh — capped by Drew Flores' RBI triple and a run on a wild pitch — plus an RBI sacrifice fly from Jonathon Kent in the ninth.

Game 2: Eagles Drop 11-5 (March 21 – 7 innings)
NTCC mounted a strong comeback in the first game of the twin bill, scoring four runs in the third inning to tie the game. Boston Seahorn, BJ Lumkins, Carson Umphres, and David Sorg all drove in runs during the rally, with Flores adding another RBI in the fifth.

Game 3: Eagles Dominate 11-1 (March 21 – 6 innings)
The Eagles delivered their strongest showing of the weekend, exploding for 14 hits and 11 runs in a six-inning victory. Jake Farris led the way with four RBI, including a two-run single in the third and a two-run triple in the sixth. Boston Seahorn drove in three runs, and BJ Lumkins added an RBI triple. Jonathon Kent swiped two bases to spark the offense.
On the mound, Cooper Schwank was dominant, allowing just one run on five hits over six innings with four strikeouts to earn the win.
