Mount Pleasant, Texas — The NTCC men's soccer team played its 4th game in 9 days on Sunday afternoon vs Crowder. 4 games proved too much as the Eagles lost a 5-0 contest in front of the home crowd.


>> HOW IT HAPPENED:

Crowder used 5 goals in the 2nd half to put away NTCC. The Eagles were strong in the first half cobbling together a starting squad despite missing several players due to injury.  The first half ended in a scoreless draw and it looked promising that the Eagles would pick up their first points of the season if they could repeat the performance in the 2nd half.  Ultimately, it wasn't meant to be and Crowder punished the Eagles for their lack of energy and poor play to claim all 3 points.

FROM THE COACH:

• "Crowder was just better than us tonight. We need to shake their hand and look ourselves in the mirror and renew our commitment to each other as a team and to doing things the right way.  We will take some time off and prepare this week to get back out on the road with a good hard week of training."
