Mount Pleasant, Texas — The NTCC men's soccer team dropped a tough decision at home on Friday in Mount Pleasant. Blinn took all 3 points in their 1-0 victory over the Eagles.
>> HOW IT HAPPENED:
Blinn scored a goal on a miscommunication at the back 5 minutes into the contest to take the 1-0 lead. The game would see-saw back and forth the rest of the period with both teams exchanging counter attacks.
It was more of the same in the 2nd half as NTCC mounted a serious charge and had 3 very good chances late in the match.
Freshman forward
Cesar Villa had his shot stopped by the keeper and sophomore defender
Riley Marshall also had his header denied. It wouldn't be enough though as Blinn would earn the wire to wire victory.
FROM THE COACH:
- "Blinn is a tough group to play against. We have to tip our cap to them. Our side needs to stay positive despite the result. We certainly had our chances. We have to keep believing in ourselves and trust our work and the results will come ."
