Eagles Secure Season Edge
The key groundwork for the series win came on March 10, when Northeast Texas Community College swept Tyler in Mount Pleasant with back-to-back one-run victories, 3-1 and 3-2. Those early wins proved decisive in securing the season series 3-2.
By taking three of the five matchups overall, the Eagles earned one of their most important season series victories in conference play.

April 25 Game One: Eagles Answer Back
NTCC bounced back in the opener of the April 25 doubleheader with a 6-5 road victory.
After trailing 1-0, the Eagles scored six runs over the second and third innings. Josh Staten and David Sorg each collected RBI hits, while Tyler errors helped fuel the rally.
Kaleb Kuhn earned the win, and Cooper Schwank recorded the save as the Eagles held off a late Tyler comeback.
April 25 Game Two: Comeback Falls Just Short
In the finale, Tyler built a 6-0 lead before the Eagles stormed back to tie the game with four runs in the fifth inning.
Jonathon Kent led NTCC by going 4-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI. Sorg drove in two runs, and Luke Nohinek added two RBI. The Eagle bullpen kept Tyler scoreless for five straight innings before a solo homer in the eighth inning proved to be the difference in a 7-6 loss.
