NTCC Eagle Softball Falls to Trinity Valley Cards 12-3
The NTCC Eagle Softball team was unable to overcome an early deficit and fell to the Trinity Valley Cards, 12-3 on Wednesday.
Trinity Valley took an earl lead in the bottom of the first inning, capitalizing on an error to put the first run on the board. They extended their advantage in the secod inning with a series of key hits: Kiara Wiedenhaupt doubled to center field, Addison Wittram scored on a sacrifice fly, Sydney Murphy delivered an RBI double, and Jaeden Burnham added a run-scoring single to center field.
The Cards broke the game open in the bottom of the sixth, scoring six runs on four hits. Burnham contributed an RBI single, Jade McQueen drove in two runs with a double, and Wittram capped off the inning with a three- run home run to right field.
For NTCC,
Sawyer Strange provided three and two-thirds innings of relief, allowing seven hits and four runs while striking out one walking three.
Conlee Zachry started in the circle, surrendering three hits and six runs (four earned) over one and two-thirds innings, with two strikeouts and two walks.
Trinity Valleys Miranda Pena pitched six strong innings, allowing ive hits and six runs (two earned) while striking out six and walking two.
Offensively, Preslielyn Varraza led NTCC with a 2-for-3 performance at the plate.
Kyndal Yaros,
Hope Grant, and
Emma Peeples each recorded an RBI, while Barraza was a force on the base paths, stealing three of the teams four bases.
Trinity Valley tallied 13 hits in the game, with McQueen and Burnham each collecting three. Wittram led the tea with three RBIs, finishing 1-for-3. Allie Clair Jones and Murphy added multilple hits, while Abby Hollingsworth demonstrated patience at the plate, drawing two of the teams five walks.
Despite NTCCs aggresive base running, Trinity Valleys offensive power proved too much to overcome, securing their victory.

In game two, NTCC Eagle Softball team struggled to generate offense in a 5-0 loss to the Trinity Valley Cards on Wednesday.
Trinity Valley took control early, scoring four runs in the bottom of the first inning. Kiara Wiedenhaupt delivered the big hit with a three-run homer to left field, followed by a groundout from Molly Gilbert that plated another run
Casey Jones hot the start for NTCC, alllowing nine hits and five runs (four earned) over four innings. She walked two and did not record a strikeout. Dominique Vargas led the way for Trinity Valley in the circle, pitching six and two-thirds scoreless innnings while allowing five hits, striking out five, and walking one.
Offensively, Preslieliyn Barraza led NTCC with a 2-for-3 performance at the plate. Meanwhile, Wiedenhaupt powered Trinity Valleys offense, driving in three runs and finishing 1-for-3. Addison Wittram and Gilbert each contributed two hits.
Defensively, Trinity Valley playe da clean game, committing no errors and turning one double play. Wiedenhaupt led the team with five defensivley plays.
Despite NTCCs efforts, Trinity Valleys strong pitching and early offensive surge proved too much to overcome.
