Mount Pleasant, Texas — The NTCC women's soccer team dropped its home opener on Tuesday afternoon in Mount Pleasant. The Jacksonville College women took all 3 points and won the contest 3-1.


HOW IT HAPPENED:

Jacksonville jumped out in front 3-0 before a strong second half showing by the Eagles.


Sophomore forward Kimberly Odero scored her first collegiate goal off an assist from freshman Karime Leija who combined with freshman Zion Ibarra out of midfield.


NTCC would threaten the Jaguars goal all 2nd half but just couldn't close the gap.


Sophomore Alessandra Gutierrez was again strong in goal.


Next up the Eagles will take on Blinn on Friday 9/6/24 at home in Mount Pleasant.
