Assistant Coach Drew Madden is a graduate of East Texas A&M University in Agricultural Science. He also has an associate's degree in AG Science and Technology from West Hills Community College in Coalinga. He is a true product of college rodeo. Coach Madden is a first-generation cowboy from Sloughhouse, CA. He is a true student of the game, being a CNFR qualifier and a three-time California Circuit Finals qualifier in steer wrestling, and is the 2024 California Rookie of the Year.
 
Through his dedication to both academics and athletics, Coach Madden has built a reputation for leadership, discipline, and hard work. His experience in the arena has shaped his approach to coaching, emphasizing fundamentals, consistency, and mental toughness. He believes success in rodeo and in life comes from preparation, grit, and respect for the process.
 
As an assistant coach, he is committed to developing student-athletes not only as competitors but as individuals. He takes pride in mentoring young rodeo athletes, helping them grow in skill, confidence, and character. His background in agricultural science and his hands-on rodeo experience allow him to connect classroom knowledge with real-world application.
 
Coach Madden continues to stay active in the rodeo community and remains passionate about preserving the Western lifestyle and values that shaped him. His goal is to give back to the sport that provided him with opportunity and direction, and to help the next generation of competitors reach their full potential.
