Andy Morgan has served as Head Baseball Coach at Northeast Texas Community College since 2017 and was named Athletic Director in 2018. A seasoned collegiate coach with over 18 years of experience at the junior college and NCAA Division I levels.
Northeast Texas Community College (2017–Present)
Since taking over at NTCC, Morgan has led the Eagles to consistent postseason appearances. The Eagles have made it to regional play 4 of the last 7 seasons in the ultra-competitive NJCAA Region 14. In 2025, the team posted a 17–13 mark in conference play, earning a second-place finish in the North Division and advancing as the #2 seed in the regional tournament. Morgan’s leadership has helped NTCC develop into a respected program that consistently produces all-conference talent and sends players to four-year institutions and professional baseball.
As Athletic Director, Morgan has guided NTCC’s athletic programs through facility upgrades, staff development, and academic achievement improvements, further elevating the college's athletic reputation.
Murray State University (2014–2017)
As Hitting Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Murray State (Division I – Ohio Valley Conference), Morgan built one of the most explosive offenses in program history. His 2016 and 2017 lineups ranked in the top 25 nationally in eight offensive categories.
During his tenure, three players earned Freshman All-American honors, and several went on to be drafted or signed as free agents.
Northwestern State University (2011–2014)
At Northwestern State (Division I – Southland Conference), Morgan served as Hitting Coach and Recruiting Coordinator. He helped orchestrate the program’s most significant turnaround in history: a 17-win improvement overall and a 14-win jump in conference play in 2014, setting school and conference records.
His first recruiting class at NSU was ranked among the Top 75 in the nation by Baseball America. He followed that with a Louisiana-heavy class featuring four of the state’s top 30 high school prospects. His recruiting ties across Texas and Louisiana became a foundation for long-term program success.
Coffeyville Community College (2008–2011)
