High School: Nelson lettered 3 years in softball at Hughes Springs High School, Nelson was coached by Tisha Thompson. During her years she accumulated Academic All District, All-State Honorable Mention, FCA Allstar and Offensive MVP.

Personal: Born September 4, 2002 in Marshall, Tx. Her parents are Scott and Susan Nelson. She has three siblings, Stefanie Moffet, Samantha Smith, and Ronnie Mason. Nelson plans of majoring in Occupational Therapy.
